The Pre-Launch Brand Checklist: 12 Things to Verify Before You Go Live

Going live without checking these 12 items is how brands launch with broken links, inconsistent colors, and a logo that looks wrong on mobile.

Why a Checklist Matters

Launch day is chaotic. A checklist turns "I think everything is ready" into "I know everything is ready." Run through these 12 items before you hit publish.

Identity

  • ☐ Logo renders correctly at all sizes (favicon, header, social profile)
  • ☐ Logo has both light and dark versions
  • ☐ Brand colors are consistent across all pages and assets
  • ☐ Typography is consistent — no rogue fonts

Copy & Messaging

  • ☐ Tagline appears above the fold on the homepage
  • ☐ Value proposition is clear in one sentence
  • ☐ No placeholder text ("Lorem ipsum") anywhere
  • ☐ All CTAs use active, specific language ("Start free" not "Submit")

Technical

  • ☐ Meta title and description set on every page
  • ☐ OG image set for social sharing previews
  • ☐ Mobile layout tested on at least two screen sizes
  • ☐ All links work — no 404s

After You Launch

Screenshot your homepage on launch day. It's a milestone worth documenting. Then set a reminder to revisit your brand in 90 days — after you've talked to real users, you'll have a much clearer picture of what's working and what needs to evolve.
